Information about Worship and Fellowship Activities during the COVID Pandemic

We are glad that you are seeking more information about how to stay or get connected with us during the disruptions and difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. May God's grace and peace be made known to you during these challenging times.

Worship

Due to current COVID case levels in Polk and Barron County we are not gathering in person for worship. However, below are the options you and your family have for joining us for Sunday morning worship:

1) Zoom. Starting at 10:00am there will be a Zoom meeting that you can join in from anywhere. The great benefit of Zoom is that you can use it with a landline or cell phone if you want to listen to worship or you can use your computer, Smart TV, or smart phone to both listen and watch the worship service. The meeting ID and passcode are shared with church members through email and phone tree announcements. If you do not receive these announcements but would like to, please contact the church at 715-986-2467 or parkviewunitedmethodist@gmail.com

2) Facebook. Our Zoom worship service will be broadcast through Facebook Live on our page: Parkview UMC: Turtle Lake, WI. The video will remain available throughout the week. Links to the Facebook Live worship service video, as well as Wednesday Evening Prayer and Devotion can also be found on this blog site by clicking here.

3) Listening on our "Parking Lot" Radio Station. If you would like to leave your home but cannot be joining us indoors for worship, our worship service will be broadcast on 89.5FM. The range of the radio signal is roughly the size of our parking lot, so you will have to come to the church building located at 236 Maple Street North, Turtle Lake, WI 54889. The great benefit to this option is it allows you to continue your Sunday morning routine of leaving your home to attend worship. Many folks have commented that the act of coming to church, even if you don't go inside, is an important aspect of worship for them. If you take advantage of this option please bring and wear your mask if you get out of your vehicle to greet and visit with others before or after worship.

Sunday School

The Adult Sunday School class will meet in the Fireside Room connected to the Fellowship Hall starting at 9:00am. Because this class consistently has less than 10 people, they will continue to meet while remaining socially distant and wearing facemasks. If you attend Adult Sunday School at 9:00am you are welcome to remain in the Fireside Room and view worship on the screen set up in the room.

The Children's Sunday School kicks off with opening time and a brief lesson starting at 9:00am through Zoom. Later in the week, there will be crafts available for parents to pick up from the church and take home for their children to work on. If you would like to learn more about Children's Sunday School please email parkviewunitedmethodist@gmail.com.
